ICONDA, The International Construction Database, covers worldwide technical literature on all fields of building construction, civil and construction engineering, and architecture and town planning. ICONDA contains references taken from sources in more than 20 different countries. Each reference has abstracts and detailed keywords in English. Information is sourced from periodicals, books, research reports, conference proceedings, business reports, theses, and non-conventional literature that is normally outside the public domain. Coverage is from 1976 to the present, and the database is updated monthly.

Illustrated Civil War Newspapers and Magazines

Illustrated Civil War Newspapers and Magazines: Important and Rare Periodicals from Confederate, Union, Abolitionist, and British Presses is the definitive online Civil War media resource. The database contains 65,000 pages drawn from 49 periodicals, including 15 campaign newspapers, most of them illustrated—3,720 issues published from 1860 to 1865. Originally printed in 16 different cities, many of the publications are now rare and hard to find, with an item sometimes extant only in a single archive. Carefully sought out and compiled from 17 different museum, library, and private collections, including those of the American Antiquarian Society and the Chicago Historical Society, these resources are now available to modern scholars in electronic form for the first time here.

Wild Animals of Victoria contain descriptions, photographs, identification aids and distribution data for virtually all species of mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs that live in the wild in this state. The database has the names, classification and conservation status of 780 mammal, bird, reptile and frog species, with a plain English description, and most are represented by one or more colour photographs. Users can also plot the distribution, as a series of grids, on any one of a range of maps of Victoria.

The Illustrated London News Historical Archive provides online access to the entire run of the ILN from its first publication on 14 May 1842 to its last in 2003. Each page has been digitally reproduced in full colour and every article and caption is full-text searchable with hit-term highlighting and links to corresponding illustrations. Facsimilies of articles and illustrations can be viewed, printed and saved either individually or in the context of the page in which they appear. Wherever possible Special Numbers covering special events such as coronations or royal funerals have been included.

The Indian Biography Database (INDBIO), produced by the School of Politics, La Trobe University, Melbourne, is a database containing details of the members of India's lower-house (the Lok Sabha) of Parliament elected between 1977 and 1991. The database includes biographical information provided by the members of parliament, and includes death dates, references to obituary notices, and notes about recent events in legislators' careers.

Index Islamicus

The Index Islamicus database indexes literature on Islam, the Middle East and the Muslim world. It is produced by an editorial team working at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, established to transmit knowledge about Islamic and Middle East studies, which have traditionally been part of the curriculum of SOAS. Records included in the database cover almost 100 years of publications on the world of Islam. Material cited in the Index Islamicus includes not only work written about the Middle East, but also about the other main Muslim areas of Asia and Africa, plus Muslim minorities elsewhere. Over 3,000 journals are monitored for inclusion in the database, together with conference proceedings, monographs, multi-authored works and book reviews. Journals and books are indexed down to the article and chapter level.

Index of Medieval Art

The Index of Medieval Art, earlier known as the Index of Christian Art, is a thematic and iconographic index of early Christian and medieval art objects begun at Princeton University in 1917. The Index records works of art produced without geographical limitations from early apostolic times up to A.D. 1550. The database contains thousands of work of art records, most of which have an accompanying image. Many of these images have never before been digitized and are published here for the first time. The database also offers the ability to search using the ICONCLASS classification system on a limited basis. Nearly all of the subject terms have now been paralleled with ICONCLASS notations.
