Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals



This database is a comprehensive listing of journal articles on architecture since 1934, covering the history and practice of architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, historic preservation and interior design and decoration. It indexes over seven hundred American and international journals including not only scholarly and popular periodical literature, but also publications of professional associations, American state and regional periodicals, and the major serials on architecture and design of Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Australia. The index is published by the Avery Architectural and Fine Arts Library at Columbia University.

Earthquake Photo Gallery



The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) Photo Gallery includes photographs from many recent and important earthquakes which provide an overall sense of the earthquake effects. Each gallery features images and photos searchable by keyword. Aims to reduce earthquake risk by (1) advancing the science and practice of earthquake engineering, (2) improving understanding of the impact of earthquakes on the physical, social, economic, political, and cultural environment, and (3) advocating comprehensive and realistic measures for reducing the harmful effects of earthquakes.

Environmental Studies in Video



This streaming video collection covers all realms of environmental studies, particularly ethics, policy, economics, law, sociology, planning, and environmental science. Films were produced from 1970 to the present, and address specific topics including alternative energy, pollution control, eco-design, sustainability, farming and agriculture, the food industry, LEED certification, waste issues, and climate change. It has an international focus and highlights issues from dozens of countries across all seven continents.

Nearmap provides access to high resolution, regularly updated, aerial PhotoMaps of Australian cities and towns. The database has tools which enable you to measure distance and area with precision, and offers demographic layers and other information overlays. You can also monitor change and map the progress of a construction project, observe site and environmental changes, measure the effect of weathering, track seasonal growth or shadowing.

TRA Online



The Online Student Data Package from Tourism Research Australia enables users to interrogate data from the International Visitor Survey (IVS) and National Visitor Survey (NVS) to generate custom tables and output the tables directly into excel or export as CSV files. The Package also allows users to produce charts and thematic maps. The datasets contain the most recently available calendar year data and is annually updated in March.

It combines the following databases: Transportation Research Information Services (TRIS) from the Transportation Research Board of the United States; International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) from the OECD; and TRANSDOC from the European Conference of Ministers of Transport. Coverage is from 1968 to the present, and is updated quarterly.
