Loeb Classical Library was founded by James Loeb in 1911 to make Classical Greek and Latin literature accessible to the broadest range of readers. The digital Loeb Classical Library extends this mission into the twenty-first century. Epic and lyric poetry; tragedy and comedy; history, travel, philosophy, and oratory; the great medical writers and mathematicians and more are represented with up-to-date texts and accurate English translations. The Sardinia Digital Library offers the local, national and international community a tool capable of enhancing the cultural heritage of Sardinia: film, literature, music, visual arts, sound archives proposed with the use of advanced computer technologies. More than 33,000 images, 5,600 audio tracks, 2,000 videos and 2,600 publications documenting every aspect of the island reality can be consulted. The contents, classified according to strict criteria and archival and national and international cataloging standards, are made available to users, so as to allow free and open consultation.

The TLG is both a full-text digital library of Greek literature and a research project at the University of California, Irvine. Its primary goal is to create a comprehensive digital collection that includes all extant works of Greek literature from antiquity to the present era, and to develop search mechanisms that allow scholars and students to search this collection.
